Goals: I want to ride 50 miles

So the kids are back to school, one of the things they take home from school everyday is their "agenda". This is a book where they keep a small journal of each day at school and also provides the parents and teachers way to get messages/info back and forth. I was checking out Mr. T's agenda after school today and on one of the 1st few pages it has a place for goals and things they would like to do. His one thing he would like to do is "ride my bike 50 miles". I'm a very proud and happy Dad after reading that and can't wait to take him on his first 50 mile ride in a few years.

Unfortunately another goal was getting Mom and Dad to get him a dog. That one, um, I'm not so sure or excited about.

  1. Young boys need dogs. Period.

  2. Thanks for all the no dog support! I'm not against dogs I just feel they should have room to run and not have to be tied up or kept in the house. My 1 acre is big enough for a dog to run around on but I don't have the coin to fence it all with a dog proof fence.

  3. A house without a dog is a house but a house with a dog is a HOME!

  4. I hear ya barking CDV. Its not fun to tie up a dog. A small dog may work and are loveable. But big dogs are so much fun too. Maybe a bit much to handle though.

  5. Those invisible fences are a miracle. I ain't big on dogs as an adult but boys like 'em. I did. I concur with Snakebite on the golden retrievers. Good dogs.
